Celebrating the Graduation of Torrey Project's First Incubator Class

Updated: Aug 8, 2019

Exciting news! The first class of entrepreneurs has now officially graduated from the Torrey Project Incubator program. We affectionately refer to them as Stakeholder One. These scrappy entrepreneurs are launching companies spanning sectors ranging from disaster relief to environmental consulting but they all have one thing in common, a strong commitment to care for all of their stakeholders.

Bootcamp

Stakeholder One has now completed an intensive entrepreneurship bootcamp program, attending a total of 64 hours of classes together over a 4-week period. Classes were held every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 6pm-9pm and every Saturday from 9am-4pm. During this time, they studied topics ranging from "How to Found and Build a Stakeholder Focused Organization" to "How to Build a Board of Directors", and everything in-between.

Mentorship Program

Now they're on to the next step of building their businesses while benefiting from the most valuable part of the entire incubator, a full 12 months of mentorship from the Torrey Project network of experienced business executives. We are so proud of you, Stakeholder One!

The Trust Model

The trust model is our way of paving the road to success for all promising entrepreneurs who are committed to using their businesses to benefit all their stakeholders, regardless of their current ability to pay. Most incubators charge an up-front fee or take a percentage of the company in return for the services granted. Here at Torrey Project, we operate on a very different model, the trust model. We provide a top-notch bootcamp plus mentorship program worth $25K, but don't charge our entrepreneurs a cent to participate.

The funds for this program are provided by donors who see investing in a stakeholder approach to business as one of the best ways to change the world for the better. We trust that as entrepreneurs learn from our program, they will look for ways to give back to help both the Torrey Project and the world at large.

Apply Today

Torrey Project will host another incubator class starting on September 16th, 2019. Apply today if you're an entrepreneur who is ready to take your stakeholder-focused startup to the next level.
